Christian Haller (born October 28, 1989 in Davos ) is a Swiss professional snowboarder . His nickname in the scene is Hitsch .

Career

The Haller, who started in the halfpipe and in the big air , won his first FIS race in his home town of Davos in 2003 at the age of 14. On January 30, 2004, he started in the European Snowboard Cup for the first time and was able to win the first race in Bischofswiesen . On October 29, 2004, he started in the Snowboard World Cup for the first time . At the Junior World Championships in 2005 in Zermatt , he finished seventh in the halfpipe. A year later he finished 24th on the halfpipe at the Junior World Championships in Vivaldi Park and also started in Big Air for the first time, where he finished fourth and narrowly missed the medal ranks. At the Swiss Championships in Zermatt in 2006, he won the bronze medal in the Big Air discipline and came fifth in the halfpipe. On November 2nd, 2007 he was on the podium in the FIS World Cup for the first time in Saas-Fee with 3rd place . At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon-do he reached 7th place in the halfpipe and was 33rd in the big air discipline.

He competes in both the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour and the FIS Tour and has already achieved great success in both leagues.

Christian Haller visits the High Alpine Institute Ftan , which is a Swiss Olympic Sport School.
