Christian Kausler

Christian Kausler (born August 23, 1761 in Oberrot , (Oberamt Gaildorf), † August 20, 1822 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg governor.

Life and work

The son of a pastor received lessons from private teachers. In preparation for his studies, he worked in the office of a senior bailiff. Between 1777 and 1782 Christian Kausler studied law in Tübingen . From 1783 to 1790 he was court attorney at the court court in Tübingen, from 1790 to 1802 he was then chief magistrate in Oppenweiler and counsel to several families. In 1802 he became court commissioner for the knightly canton of Kocher, and from 1803 to 1808 he was head of the Oberamt Eßlingen . At times he was seconded to Hohenlohe as an organization commissioner. From 1808 to 1811 he was senior bailiff in Neuenbürg , and in 1809 he was also a commissioner to correct the border with Baden. Further stations in his career as a senior bailiff were from 1811 to 1813 at the Oberamt Göppingen and from 1813 to 1819 at the Oberamt Leonberg . In 1819 Kausler was supposed to be a senior official in Reutlingen, but went to the shipping commission as a government councilor.

Christian Kausler was a member of the Patriotic Society of Doctors and Natural Scientists.
