Christian Kerstiens

Christian Kerstiens (Given Name: Christian Felix Ferdinand Maria) (* 15. December 1893 in Münster ; † 25. January 1942 ibid) was Councilor at the Münster District Administration and representatives of the provincial government.

Life

Christian Kerstiens had to interrupt his law studies because of military service and subsequent French imprisonment and passed his first state law examination on November 22, 1920. After working as a trainee lawyer at the Hamm Higher Regional Court and the Münster district government, he passed the assessor examination on September 23, 1923 and was assigned to the government in Münster. In charge of the Bottrop Police Office from February 1924 to October 1924, he moved to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior in 1926 , where he was an advisor to Erich Klausener . Together with Robert Kempner , he played a key role in the creation of the Prussian Police Administration Act . Assigned to the Prussian Building and Finance Directorate in 1927, he joined the High Presidium in Charlottenburg in 1929 , where he was Ministerialrat in 1934. In this position, Kerstiens came to the Münster district government in November 1936. The basis for this was Section 5 (1) of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service. He filled the position of the general department for police matters and was the representative of the district president.
