Christian Kovacevic (born August 6, 1983 in Wörgl , Tyrol ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). From November 9, 2017 to October 22, 2019, he was a member of the National Council .

Life

After finishing primary and secondary school in Wörgl, Christian Kovacevic attended the local commercial academy from 1997 to 2002 . He then worked as a dispatcher and forwarding and branch manager at various forwarding companies until 2017 .

He has been a member of the local council in Wörgl since 2010, and has been the district chairman of the young generation (JG) in the SPÖ Kufstein since 2014 . Since 2016 he has been chairman of the SPÖ Wörgl city party and chairman of the SPÖ district in the Kufstein district . In the 2017 National Council election , he ran for the SPÖ Tirol as second behind Selma Yildirim . On November 9, 2017, he was sworn in as a member of the National Council . After the National Council election in 2019 , he resigned from the National Council.
