Christian Löer (* 1962 ; sometimes also spelled: Christian Loer ) is a German singer , musician and songwriter of Christian pop music .

Life

Christian Löer has been working for youth services in his parish since 1976. He studied architecture at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences from 1982 to 1988 and had already given around 100 concerts by then.

In 1986 he published his debut album 180 ° -Chance-Songs on the then Lord Records label for popular Christian music in the Schulte & Gerth publishing house and was best known for his text-oriented, Christian self-image critically opposed songs. This was followed in 1988 by the LP With Open Cards. In addition, Klaus Heizmann , then head of the Musisches Bildungszentrum St. Goar , won the singer for his choral album Color Comes Into Your Life, titled after his own song. In 1988 his second LP was released with open cards. At the beginning of the 1990s Christian Löer brought three more records onto the market with Westen, Focus and Tolle Types , the latter of which was the only one of his solo albums to be released by Hänssler Music . After two other guest participations in Klaus Heizmann's choir projects, a longer artist break followed in 1995.

Since 1999 Löer has been the director of the Enjoy gospel choir of the Protestant church in Rhade, which he founded with the pastor Andreas Deppermann. In 2001 his so far last album Unverhoffte Brise was released. The musician undertook other projects in collaboration with Klaus-André Eickhoff with the joint program Offensive to Church, Culture and Art of Living.

Today Löer works full-time as an architect, he lives in Rhade and has two daughters, Katrin and Karolin.
