The Musisches Bildungszentrum St. Goar ( MBZ for short ) was a training and meeting place for artistic work in the Christian area on the basis of the Evangelical Alliance . The foundation was the Musisches Bildungszentrum , founded in 1981 with Klaus Heizmann as first chairman.

history

Conceptually, the idea and the necessity of an educational space for the promotion of young talent and artistic work in the Christian framework developed from the tradition of such training offers through Christian leisure homes and institutions. The vision of the Musisches Bildungszentrum should bundle these offers in a professional framework and thus create a meeting place for all artistic activities in Christian churches and parishes in Germany. Above all, the focus was on setting up rooms suitable for practice such as soundproof rehearsal rooms, a stage with lighting and the availability of instruments. In addition to the musical focus, the program also included the performing arts, painting, pantomime but also modern media such as video and the establishment of an archive for sacred music of all styles from the Middle Ages to Christian pop music.

In 1981 the Foundation for the Musisches Bildungszentrum was founded with Klaus Heizmann as its first chairman, which sponsored the building of the educational facility with three benefit LPs. However, plans for an own construction on a selected property in Sankt Goar were never realized.

In addition to professional musicians and singers who met here for record productions and jointly formed the studio choir of the St. Goar Music Education Center , the MBZ accommodated numerous guests from German-speaking Europe and, through community practice- oriented training opportunities , B. advance the youth choir movement throughout Germany. Last but not least, the children's free time with Hella Heizmann aroused great interest so that at times four leisure activities took place every year. With a staff of around 40 speakers, the training center offered individual training courses in music, painting, design and performing arts as well as children's singing camps, conducting courses, instrumental seminars, courses in pantomime and harmony, in which over 1500 interested people, including choir directors, singers and musicians, took part every year . The MBZ also coordinated and maintained relationships with international musicians, lecturers and producers, organized concert tours and music productions by Christian artists, and discovered and promoted talents such as Cae & Eddie Gauntt , Gloria Gabriel and Beate Ling .

As the Musisches training center in the late eighties due to economic problems of their main sponsor Wersi , broke away its resources and could be found in the required urgency not a replacement sponsor, it was no longer possible to support themselves financially sophisticated device, so there is a lot of the work in 1989 lock. In a much reduced form, Klaus Heizmann continued some of the functions of the MBZ with the House of Music , but in 1994 the move to Wiesbaden completely gave up the St. Goar location.
