Cae & Eddie Gauntt
Cae & Eddie Gauntt is a singing duo consisting of Christian pop singer Cae Gauntt and opera singer Edward Gauntt .
history
The American couple Gauntt studied singing at Baylor University in Waco , Texas . In 1979 Cae and Edward Gauntt came to Europe for engagements at the Vienna State Opera and the Theater an der Wien . In 1983 he moved to Germany when Edward took up a position at what is now Theater Krefeld and Mönchengladbach . In addition to the opera stage, the couple also appeared as a duo on a smaller scale. At the beginning of the 1980s Cae & Eddie Gauntt were discovered by the Christian music producer and representative of the youth choir movement Klaus Heizmann at a concert . With their studio choir from the St. Goar Music Education Center , the couple soon became known in the German Christian music scene and performed nationwide. In March 1993, the duo performed as part of the first ProChrist with Billy Graham .
With Caes’s increasing solo career, duo concerts became less common for a few years until a successful comeback with the album Christmas in 2005 . The following album, Inner Sanctum , was released in 2010 and conceptually contains chorales and hymns . At the end of the same year, the duo was a guest at the ERF Medien Christmas gala . In 2012 her label Gerth Medien added Inner Sanctum to its exclusive Limited Edition series with an expanded booklet and refined external appearance. In February 2014 the album You Love Me was released , also by Gerth Medien and produced by Florian Sitzmann . The duo also participated in numerous projects by Christian music producers such as Klaus Heizmann , Jochen Rieger and Gerhard Schnitter and tours nationwide. With a total of three appearances at ProChrist (1993, 2003 and 2013), Cae & Eddie Gauntt are the most invited guests of the major European evangelism.
