Tom Keene (musician)

Thomas Oliver Keene (* 1943 in Vancouver ; also: Thomas O. Keene ) is a Canadian musician , arranger and record producer from the United States .

Life

For ten years she studied piano at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto . After he emigrated to the USA in 1968 , he also studied composition and orchestration at Biola University in La Mirada , California .

Finally, in his early twenties, Tom Keene began receiving calls from various studios in Hollywood . In the following years Tom Keen appeared in television shows and worldwide concert tours. He recorded film music and worked for singers like Glen Campbell , Ray Charles , Chuck Berry and Barry White to international artists like the African Children's Choir and the London Philharmonic Orchestra . Nevertheless, Tom Keene found himself primarily committed to the production of Christian music and has worked over the years for numerous gospel singers and musicians such as Andraé Crouch , The Winans , Oak Ridge Boys and Phil Keaggy up to 600 record sessions a year.

Tom Keene became known in Germany in the 1980s through his collaboration with Klaus Heizmann . In the 90s he published his own instrumental series with well-known songs by German composers and songwriters of Christian music such as Siegfried Fietz , Manfred Siebald or Margret Birkenfeld .

Tom Keene is married to Jackie and lives in Los Angeles .
