Helmut Jost

Heinz-Helmut Jost-Naujoks (born March 3, 1957 ; also: Hemi Jost ) is a German singer , musician , composer and music producer of Christian pop and rock music .

In the 1980s he was first known as the bassist and singer of the Christian rock band Damaris Joy . The band's musicians were soon booked by active singers on the scene such as Hella Heizmann and Christian Löer as well as for numerous concept projects by Christian music producers such as Jochen Rieger and Klaus Heizmann . This not only opened up the path to studio work for Helmut Jost, but he also worked himself as a producer for newcomers such as Beate Ling to collaborations for secular artists such as Xavier Naidoo , Curt Cress or Phil Collins .

In 1989 he made his solo debut with Black and White . The following year he published the English parallel edition Black And White . In 1997 his second solo work came out under the title Mysteries . Since then, Helmut Jost has concentrated on his productive activities and has mainly created choir and gospel concepts such as Gospel Celebration , Gospel Fire or Old Treasures - newly discovered , alongside numerous contributors such as David Thomas , Anja Lehmann , Beate Ling , Danny Plett , etc. He also realized Helmut Jost various radio play and musical projects for children. In collaboration with authors such as Gertrud Schmalenbach and Ruthild Wilson, he composed and produced, among other things, the musical radio play series Christopher Kirchenmaus and his Mäuselieder and Karo der Kleinstlöwe as well as children's musicals.

Helmut Jost is married to the singer and songwriter Ruthild Wilson .
