Ferdinand Stamm

Ferdinand Stamm , stage name Fernand , (born May 11, 1813 in Orpus , † July 29, 1880 in Pötzleinsdorf ) was a Bohemian-Austrian writer, journalist and politician.

Stamm was born in the Bohemian Ore Mountains as the son of a mine owner. In 1848 he became a member of the Kremsier Reichstag and at the same time editor of the German newspaper from Bohemia . The following year he moved to Komotau , where he lived until 1856 before moving to the provincial capital Vienna . There he became a member of the Bohemian Landtag and the Austrian Reichstag in 1861. In 1877 Ferdinand Stamm began to publish the Austrian Yearbook . He died three years later.
