Christian Ludwig August von Arnswaldt (born November 5, 1733 in Kelbra , † October 14, 1815 in Hanover ) was the electoral-Braunschweig-Lüneburg Privy Council and Consistorial President , Minister of War, curator of the University of Göttingen and State and Cabinet Minister of the State of Hanover.

He comes from the Thuringian noble family von Arnswald and was the son of Wolff Ehrenreich von Arnswald's second marriage (1683–1755), lord of Kelbra and Berga. Christian Ludwig August von Arnswaldt was married to Agnes Maria Dorothea von Wenckstern (* April 13, 1744, † June 18, 1791). He left two sons as the progenitor of his own (Hanoverian) line: Ernst (1769–1770) died in childhood, Karl (1768–1845) became a science politician, Minister of State of the Kingdom of Hanover and curator of the Georg-August University in Göttingen .
