Christian Ludwig Brücker

Christian Ludwig Brücker (born September 6, 1915 in Sóvé , German  Schowe , Kingdom of Hungary , Austria-Hungary ; † May 22, 1992 in Winnenden ) was a German association functionary .

Life

Brücker came from a farming family in the Batschka . After finishing high school in Vrbas , he first attended the Serbian preparation institute in Sombor . Here he dealt with youth work in the Wandervogel movement . In Vrbas he attended the German teacher training institute, where he received his teaching diploma in 1934. Then he taught at the Reich German school in Belgrade . For many years he was involved in the holiday months with his campaign “Belgrade German Children in the Country”. Inspired by the folklorist and Goethe researcher Philipp Hilkene , Brücker collected extensive folklore material on the Danube Swabian minority in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and published it in the journal “Volkswart” published by the Swabian-German Cultural Association in Novi Sad .

After 1945 Brücker worked as a religion teacher and lecturer in Bavaria . In 1952 he was accepted into the Baden-Württemberg school service in Backnang . From 1967 to 1980 he was rector of the Mörikeschule Backnang and from 1968 to 1989 honorary city ​​archivist . In 1981 Brücker took over the federal chairmanship of the Working Group on Danube Swabian Teachers from his predecessor Josef Volkmar Senz . He was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state advisory board on sponsorship of the Danube Swabian ethnic group, on the sponsorship council of the city of Sindelfingen, on the board of the association "Haus der Donauschwaben eV" and on the board of the "Donauschwäbischen Kulturstiftung eV". In the Danube Swabian country team , he succeeded Adam Krämer as federal chairman. He published around 200 articles in the association's organs.
