Sydney Christian Ramond (* 1962 in Bonn , Germany) is a German jazz double bass player .

Live and act
Ramond studied from 1983 to 1987 at the Cologne University of Music and then received a scholarship from the Academy of Fine Arts in Banff , Canada.
He plays in music groups that are as diverse in style as the Wolfgang Engstfeld / Peter Weiss Quartet , the Jochen Feucht Trio , the Theo Jörgensmann Quartet ( Snijbloemen , 1999), the Michel Pilz Trio, the DRA Trio with Christopher Dell , the Michael Heupel Quartet, the quartet by Allan Praskin / Wolfgang Köhler , in a trio with Andreas Schmidt and John Schröder or the Henning Berg Quartet. He has toured in more than 20 countries so far, including New Zealand, Canada, Sudan, Egypt and Japan. Since 2010 he has been a member of the Theo Jörgensmann Freedom Trio .
