Christian Rohde (* 1974 ) is a German journalist .

Life

Christian Rohde grew up in Vetschau / Spreewald . From 1992 to 1999 he studied empirical social sciences at the University of Leipzig and, together with other students, founded the Leipzig university radio station mephisto 97.6 , where he worked as a reporter and later as a student editor-in-chief. He worked for the media service of the Evangelical Press Service (epd) and as a radio reporter for Deutschlandfunk , WDR , ORB and MDR . From 2000 to 2001 Christian Rohde completed a traineeship at NDR and then worked there until 2006 as an author for the programs Panorama , NDR aktuell , Ratgeber Technik and the media magazine Zapp . Rohde has been working at ZDF for the political magazine Frontal21 since September 2006 . There, Rohde, together with Andreas Halbach, uncovered the East German garbage scandal around Magdeburg in 2008, dealt intensively with the topic of atomic energy, researched the so-called KKH scandal with Jörg Göbel, in which the statutory health insurance pushed expensive insured persons out of the fund. For many years, Rohde reported on the problem areas of industrial agriculture. Since September 2015 he has been the deputy editor-in-chief at Frontal21. He has received several awards for his work.
