Christian Senkel

Christian Senkel (born December 29, 1965 in Munich ) is a German Protestant theologian and associate professor for systematic theology at the theological faculty in Halle .

Live and act

Senkel studied Protestant theology in Munich and received his doctorate there in 1997 with Hermann Timm with a thesis on "Quotation in theological language thinking". After positions at the Universities of Würzburg and Marburg , Senkel went to Halle (Saale) in 2001 , where he worked, among other things, as an employee of Klaus Tanner and Jörg Dierken . In 2010 he completed his habilitation there with a thesis on “Denominational semantics in the national discourse between 1749 and 1813”. Since then he has worked, among other things, as the head of the state graduate school “Cultural Effects of the Reformation” for the Reformation History Society of Martin Luther University and has held deputy professorships at Bielefeld University , the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau and the University of Gießen .
