Christian Vadim (born June 18, 1963 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) is a French actor .

biography

Christian Vadim is the son of actress Catherine Deneuve and director Roger Vadim . He is the half-brother of the actress Chiara Mastroianni from his mother's relationship with the actor Marcello Mastroianni .

At the age of 20, Vadim made his film debut, directed by his father in the 1983 comedic drama Surprise Party , in which he starred as the heartthrob Christian Bourget. A year later, Éric Rohmer gave him the role of Bastien in the love drama Vollmondnächte . The Italian directing duo Castellano & Pipolo hired him as the neat hero of the erotic comedy College (1984).

After that, except for a TV film with Jacques Weber , Vaines recherches (1987), things got a little quieter. In 1988 he was seen in a leading role in the television series Les nouveaux chevaliers du ciel . At the beginning of the 1990s he played some leading roles in the cinema again ( Tödlicher Winter , Une mauvaise fille , Jalousie ) and in 1999 at the side of his mother in the literary film adaptation of The Found Time . Mother and son played together again in 2004, this time in the TV movie Marie Bonaparte . Christian Vadim has also appeared frequently as a guest star on the popular series Commissioner Moulin , Julie Lescaut , La Crim ' and Commissioner Navarro .
