Giuseppe Moccia
Giuseppe Moccia ; also known as Pipolo or Pipollo (born June 22, 1933 in Viterbo , Italy, † August 20, 2006 in Rome ), was an Italian screenwriter and film director . His son Federico Moccia is also active in the film business.
Between 1958 and 2001 Giuseppe Moccia wrote the script for 96 films . Between 1964 and 1997 he also directed 21 films. Many of his films were made in collaboration with Franco Castellano ; they appeared under the name Castellano & Pipolo . Unloved by critics but successful with audiences, they wrote almost a hundred films together, including five of the 100 most financially successful Italian films. Giuseppe Moccia died of heart failure in 2006.
