Commissioner Navarro is a French crime series that was first shown on French broadcaster TF1 in 1989.

Commissioner Navarro ( Roger Hanin ) is a personable guy, he eats too much and has occasional choleric fits. He has a lot of distrust of any kind of hierarchy. Violence is excluded with him. Like the leisurely Hercule Poirot, he solves his cases with brains: To break a counterfeit ring, he himself slips into the role of a gangster who offers suitable paper for printing. When an anesthetist is murdered, Navarro decides to have an injured colleague brought in as a patient to check what is going on in the clinic ...
