Commissioner Navarro ( Roger Hanin ) is a personable guy, he eats too much and has occasional choleric fits. He has a lot of distrust of any kind of hierarchy. Violence is excluded with him. Like the leisurely Hercule Poirot, he solves his cases with brains: To break a counterfeit ring, he himself slips into the role of a gangster who offers suitable paper for printing.
