Philippe Khorsand (born February 17, 1948 in Paris , † January 29, 2008 there ) was a French actor .

life and career

Khorsand, who was the son of a French woman and an Iranian, played minor roles in the 1970s, for example alongside Jean Yanne in Georges Lautner's The Great Coup of the Commissioner (1971), alongside Michel Piccoli in Who Holds the Reins (1979) and alongside Claude Jade in Nous ne l'avons pas assez aimée (1979).

In 1979 he wrote himself in Rien ne va plus starring alongside Jacques Villeret . He became internationally known in 1982 through the television series Merci Bernard . This was followed by the role of Jo Longman in Claude Lelouch's Édith Piaf film Edith and Marcel (1983), the hippie commune patron Eric in Kleiner Spinner (1984) and in 1988 the role of Sammy alongside Wojciech Pszoniak in Pierre Boutron's The Emerging Years .

In the 1990s he cheated on his wife, played by Claude Jade , in Tableau d'honneur (1992) and in 1995 chased Jean-Paul Belmondo, alias Jean Valjean, in Lelouch's version of Die Miserable . In the new millennium, Khorsand was, apart from a few cinema exceptions (in 2004 alongside Jean-Pierre Léaud in Die Affaire Marcorelle and in 2004 as Jean-Paul in Victoire with Sylvie Testud and Mylène Demongeot ), mainly engaged in television films and series.
