Christian Wolf (lawyer)

Christian Wolf (born December 21, 1958 in Munich ) is a German legal scholar . His areas of expertise are civil law, German, European and international civil procedural law as well as legal law.

Life

Wolf studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1980 to 1985 . After the first state examination in law, Wolf completed his legal clerkship from September 1985 to December 1988 at the Munich Higher Regional Court and the Speyer University of Applied Sciences . After the second state examination, Wolf initially worked as a lawyer in a large international commercial law firm in Munich. From the end of 1989 to the beginning of 1992 he worked in the higher Bavarian judicial service, first as a judge in a general civil chamber at the Munich I district court , then for a few months as a public prosecutor at the Munich I district court.

In December 1991 he completed the dissertation supervised by Peter Schlosser “The institutional commercial arbitration”. The work was awarded the Munich Faculty Prize. From the beginning of 1992 to 2000, Wolf worked as a faculty assistant at the University of Munich. Since the 1997 summer semester, Wolf has held professorial positions in Dresden , Munich and Freiburg . In January 1998, Peter Schlosser wrote his habilitation thesis “Judicial Duty through Assets”, which, however, has not yet been published. Wolf was awarded the Venia legendi for civil law, civil procedural law, international civil procedural law, comparative law and European law.

Since April 2000, he has been a full professor of civil law, German, European and international civil procedural law at the University of Hanover . From September 2001 to September 2006, Wolf Richter was in the 2nd main office at the Higher Regional Court in Celle. Since October 2005 he has been managing director of the Institute for Litigation and Lawyers' Law in Hanover (IPA). Wolf has been publishing the legal worksheets since October 2006 .
