Christiane Henriette Dorothea Westermayr
Christiane Henriette Dorothea Westermayr (born January 1 or January 2, 1772 in Weimar , † April 16, 1841 in Hanau ) was a German artist and painter .
Life
Christiane Henriette Dorothea Westermayr was the daughter of Johann Adam († 1809, City Syndic of Weimar) and Christiane Johanne Stötzer (nee Schellhorn). She attended the “ Princely Free Drawing School Weimar ” and was tutored there by Georg Melchior Kraus . From 1792 she was a student of Conrad Westermayr , whom she married in 1800. In 1806 Conrad Westermayr became a professor at the Hanau Drawing Academy. Christiane also taught there and later supported her husband in running the academy.
