Christiane Uhlhorn

Christiane Uhlhorn (born January 31, 1927 in Marburg an der Lahn , † August 1, 2016 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Uhlhorn graduated from high school in 1946 and studied history and English in Marburg and Göttingen. In 1953 she passed the state examination in Marburg. She then studied singing at the Music Academy in Kassel and worked as a singer at the Kassel State Theater from 1957 to 1959 . In 1961 Uhlhorn passed the second state examination in philology in Marburg and since 1961 has been a senior teacher. After her time as a member of the state parliament, she worked at the Elisabeth School in Marburg .

politics

Uhlhorn became a member of the CDU in 1963. From 1971 to 1981 she was state chairwoman of the CDU women's association and a member of the federal executive committee of the CDU women's association.

Uhlhorn was a city councilor in Hünfeld from 1970 to 1977 and a member of the Hessian state parliament from December 1, 1970 to November 30, 1978.
