Christina Khosrowi

Christina Khosrowi (* in Cologne ) is a German opera singer ( mezzo-soprano , later soprano ) and music manager.

Life

Christina Khosrowi comes from a German- Persian family and grew up in Aachen . From 2001 to 2007 she studied singing at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin , attended Wolfram Rieger's lied class and was also supervised by Julia Varady and Irwin Gage .

She made her debut as an opera singer, while she was still studying, in May 2006 at the Berlin State Opera as Flora Bervoix in Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata . This was followed by engagements at the State Theater Braunschweig , on the Baltic Opera Gdansk, at the Bremen Theater , the Theater Dortmund and in the Konzerthaus Berlin .

In spring 2009 she sang the role of Smeton in Anna Bolena at the Cologne Opera, alongside Edita Gruberova , under the musical direction of Ralf Weikert . In summer 2009 she made her debut as Maddalena ( Rigoletto ) at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival . In 2009 and 2011 she sang Magdalene in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl , and in 2010 there she sang Mary ( The Flying Dutchman ). In the 2009/10 season she was a fascinating mezzo-soprano in the roles of Muse and Nicklas in the Offenbach opera Hoffmann's Stories "with their cool charm" at the Stadttheater Gießen . In summer 2011 she sang the mezzo-soprano trouser role of the poet and title hero Boccaccio in the operetta of the same name by Franz von Suppè in a production by Robert Herzl at the Sommerarena Baden . In the 2012/13 season she made her debut at the Meiningen State Theater as Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde .

Khosrowi worked a. a. with the conductors Markus Stenz , Michael Sanderling , Alexander Joel and Enrico Delamboye . In April 2014 she made a guest appearance with songs by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss at the Château d'Orion in southwest France . In May 2014 she switched to the soprano subject. In September 2019 she performed with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Harout Fazlian in Beirut , where she a. a. the Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss sang.

She has been working in management for the violinist Daniel Hope since 2017 . She lives in Berlin .
