Christina Vukicevic (born June 18, 1987 in Lørenskog , Norway ) is a Norwegian athlete who specializes in the 100-meter hurdles .

Life

Christina Vukicevic, who is coached by her father, had her first sporting success in 2003 in Paris at the European Youth Olympic Tournament where she won her first gold medal. At the 2004 Junior European Championships, her best placement was fourth, and at the European Junior Championships a year later in Kaunas she won the silver medal in her 100-meter hurdles discipline . After a break due to a knee operation, she also won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in 2006 with 13.34 seconds and set the Norwegian junior record. Since 2004 she has regularly won the Norwegian Championships in her discipline. She set her personal best of 13.05 seconds at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . At the 2009 European Indoor Championships she was fourth. She won her last gold medal in 2009 at the U23 European Championships with her new personal best of 12.99 seconds. 2010 Vukicevic was fourth at the European Championships . She won bronze at the 2011 European Indoor Championships .

Vukicevic is in a relationship with the Norwegian national soccer player Vadim Demidov , who has played as a central defender for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt since the 2012/13 season .
