Vadim Sergejewitsch Demidov ( Russian Вадим Сергеевич Демидов Vadim Sergejewitsch Demidow ; born October 10, 1986 in Riga ) is a Norwegian football player of Russian origin, who acts as a defender . Up to the age of 16 Vadim played handball as well as football .

Club career

Since 2008 he has been under contract with Rosenborg Trondheim . He was the most frequently used regular Rosenborgs in the 2008 championship. In the winter of 2011, he moved abroad and has since played for the Spanish first division club Real Sociedad San Sebastián . For the 2012/13 season Demidov moved to Bundesliga promoted Eintracht Frankfurt and received a contract until 2015. For the second half of the 2012/13 season, he was awarded to the Spanish first division club Celta Vigo . After the end of the loan at the end of the 2012/13 season, he left Eintracht with a previously unknown goal.

At the end of August 2013 Demidov switched to Anzhi Makhachkala . In January 2014 he returned to his home in Brann Bergen .

On January 10, 2017, he moved to Major League Soccer for Minnesota United .

National team

On April 28, 2008 completed his first game for the Norwegian national soccer team against Uruguay . In 2009 Demidov declared that he wanted to play for Russia . However, it never came to that, which is why he continued to play for the Norwegians. On March 3, 2010 he made only his second game for Norway when he came on for Brede Hangeland in the 1-0 win against Slovakia in the 74th minute .

So far he has made 16 appearances for Norway.
