Christine Zitzmann (born May 16, 1954 in Steinach / Thuringia ) is a German politician (non-party, until 2013 CDU ). You from 1994 to 2006 Member of the Thuringian State Parliament and from 2006 to 2018 District Administrator of the district Sonneberg .

education and profession

Christine Zitzmann trained as an office hour nurse from 1970 to 1972 and, after graduating as a nurse from 1973 to 1983, worked as a specialist nurse in general nursing. From 1982 to 1987 she was a ward nurse and from 1987 to 1989 a senior sister.

politics

Christine Zitzmann was a member of the CDU until April 12, 2013, where she was a member of the regional executive committee of the CDU Thuringia . She was also a member of the state executive committee of the women's union and district chairwoman of the Sonneberg women's union.

After the fall of the Wall , she was elected Head of Social Affairs, Culture, Education and Housing for the city of Sonneberg in 1990. She resigned from this office in 1994 after she was elected to the Thuringian state parliament for the constituency of Sonneberg I. In the state parliament she was chairman of the petitions committee. In 2006 she left the state parliament after she was elected district administrator for the district of Sonneberg .

Christine Zitzmann is a self-confessed Franconian in what is now southern Thuringia . She successfully campaigned for the Sonneberg district to join the Nuremberg metropolitan region and for the Coburg.Rennsteig tourism association to be founded. The Franconian Confederation awarded you the Franconian Medal on October 27, 2015 in the Sonneberg District Office in recognition of your Franconian services .

In the local elections in Thuringia in 2018 , she did not run again. Hans-Peter Schmitz was elected as her successor as District Administrator on April 29, 2018 .
