Gustav Julius Berlet

Gustav Julius Berlet (born April 11, 1834 in Ober Maßfeld , † May 18, 1901 in Hildburghausen ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a parish substitute, Berlet studied law and camera science in Jena and Leipzig . During his studies in 1854 he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity . In 1859 he became a government auditor and trainee lawyer in Meiningen and Sonneberg . In 1864 he was an official assessor in Sonneberg, then from 1866 in Salzungen and Gräfenthal , where he was most recently an independent board member. Then he went to Saalfeld and Camburg and was then deployed again in Sonneberg from 1874 to 1877. In 1877 he became district administrator in Hildburghausen , where he founded the Kreissparkasse in 1882 . He was given the title of Privy Councilor .
