Christian Social Voters Union

The Christian Social Voters Union in Saarland eV (CSWU) was a German party that was only active in Saarland . It was founded in 1978 by Alfons Senz and Jürgen Presser and dissolved again in 1981. The CSWU was supported by Christian trade unionists and free lists and was close to the Bavarian CSU .

In the local elections in Saarland in 1979, the CSWU celebrated individual successes. It achieved its strongest result in Illingen (Saar) with 7.5%.

The CSWU ran for the state elections in Saarland in 1980 , but received only 2,104 votes, which corresponded to 0.3% of the valid votes. As a result, the party disbanded.
