Christoffer Hinrich Grundmann

Christoffer Hinrich Grundmann (born March 24, 1950 in Bergheim ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

After studying Protestant theology, vicariate in Caracas , ordination and four years of teaching at the Tamilnadu Theological Seminary in Madurai , he became theological consultant and hospital priest at the German Institute for Medical Mission . After receiving his doctorate (1991) and working as a research assistant at the Institute for Missionary, Ecumenical and Religious Studies at the University of Hamburg , he completed his habilitation in 1996, became a private lecturer and also took on teaching positions in missionary and religious studies at the universities of Tübingen , Oldenburg , Kiel and Leipzig . In 2001, while he worked briefly at the Center for Health Ethics of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover , he was appointed professor (§ 17 HmbHG) by the University of Hamburg . From 2001 to 2016 he taught as John R. Eckrich University Professor in Religion and the Healing Arts at Valparaiso University .
