Christoph Beyertt

Christoph Beyertt (born July 19, 1922 in Potsdam ) is a German actor .

Life

Beyertt completed an acting training at the Potsdam Film Academy under Wolfgang Liebeneiner and at the Bochum Theater School under Saladin Schmitt in the early 1940s . In addition to engagements at the stages of the State Theater Potsdam and the Volksbühne Brandenburg, he also played in Senftenberg and at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . Aside from his artistic work as a performer, Beyertt was mainly active in the radio industry, worked on Mitteldeutscher and Berliner Rundfunk , as well as briefly as a lecturer in acting at the Potsdam Film and Television Academy .

He made his film debut in 1954 as a young worker in Slatan Dudow's Stronger Than the Night , and was subsequently cast in other DEFA and German TV broadcasting companies (DFF) . He played in about 70 productions, for example as Jaly in the German-French co-production Les Misérables ( Die Elenden ) until he moved to West Berlin in 1979 and increasingly worked for radio and dubbing .
