Marcel Feige

Marcel Feige (born December 17, 1971 ) is a German writer . He also writes under the pseudonyms Christoph Brandhurst and Martin Krist .

Live and act

At the age of 15, Marcel Feige wrote a short story that was printed in a local newspaper. After graduating from high school, Feige completed a traineeship at the “Niederrhein Nachrichten” in the central editorial office in Tönisvorst. Since the advertising paper belongs to the "Rheinische Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft", Feige also worked at the "Rheinische Post" at short notice during his internship. From 1992 to 1993 he was author, editor and later editor-in-chief of the music magazine " Raveline ". Feige was then editor-in-chief of the lifestyle magazine “Deep” for two years, before he relaunched the editorial and conceptual relaunch of the “VDT-Journal” as editor-in-chief. In August 1996 Feige became editor-in-chief of the city magazine “ Moritz ” in Heilbronn.

Feige has been working as a writer in Berlin since 2002. His main topics are areas of big city life: lifestyle, scene and subcultures . In 2002 Marcel Feige became famous with his books “Shadows over Germany. 100 years of German-language fantasy "(published with Frank Festa) and the" Fantasy Lexicon "have been nominated twice for the 2002 Rheinisches Literaturpreis . However, the "Fantasy Lexicon" was also criticized in part because in the eyes of the critics it was a subjective, selective and superficial presentation of the topic.

For the book “ Nina Hagen . That's why the lady is a punk ”, he received the Corine International Book Prize in November 2003 . Some of the publications ("Piercing Intim" (2004), "Tattoo- & Piercing-Lexikon" (2004) and "I call it: Down there!" (2006)) Feiges were created in collaboration with Bianca Krause. Feige has been writing mainly fiction since 2005, including the " Inferno Trilogy ".
