The Münchner Verlagsgruppe is a book publishing house for nonfiction and specialist books and fiction based in Munich . The Munich publishing group which includes Riva Verlag , the mvg publisher , the Redline Verlag , the financial book publishing , the publisher mi-business book , the LAGO publishing and crowdfunding platform 100 fans .

history

Christian Jund founded Finanzbuch-Verlags GmbH in 1997, which founded Imprint riva Verlag in 2004 . In 2008, the three publishers mvg , Redline and mi-Wirtschaftsbuch were taken over from Süddeutscher Verlag , which in return took a 15% stake in Finanzbuch-Verlag. The three business publishers Finanzbuch, Redline and mi-Wirtschaftsbuch publish non-fiction and specialist books as well as guides on the topics of management, economics, finance, production, marketing and sales. The two lifestyle and advice publishers mvg and riva, on the other hand, cover colorful content such as sport, fitness, humor, true crime, stories of fate, personality development or communication with non-fiction books, biographies and guides. In 2014, LAGO Verlag was founded as a fiction imprint. The publishing group has been part of Bonnier Media Germany since July 28, 2017 .

The riva Verlag was founded in 2004 by Christian Jund as an imprint of the FinanzBuch Verlag GmbH . The former soccer player Oliver Kahn , the musician Bushido and Bettina Wulff published at riva Verlag . The focus of the house are biographies , sport & fitness, humor and true crime .

mvg publishing house

The mvg Verlag was founded in 1965 by Wolfgang Dummer as the imprint of the modern industry publishing house and was designed as a practical advice and life support publisher. The focus was on the creation of so-called subliminals (audio cassettes) with authors such as Nikolaus B. Enkelmann and Kurt Tepperwein and in a paperback program on the topics of psychology, spirituality, esotericism, love, sexuality and partnership.

By the turn of the millennium, mvg developed into a publisher of advice and help for life. The publishing portfolio included books on communication, motivation, partnership, personal development and train your brain.

In 2008 mvg Verlag was taken over by the Münchner Verlagsgruppe GmbH and since then has also published in the field of biographies and non-fiction.

Redline Publishing House

Finanzbuch Verlag

Finanzbuch Verlag was founded in 1997 by Christian Jund with the aim of establishing stock market and financial literature in German-speaking countries. Initially focused on US licensed titles, the publisher now offers a wide range of business, trading and stock market literature. He also founded various book series with cooperation partners, including those with n-tv , Capital , Börse-Online, Wirtschaftswoche and Financial Times Deutschland . The portfolio includes internationally known authors such as Warren Buffett , Elon Musk , Anthony Robbins , Kenneth Rogoff , Robert Kiyosaki and Thilo Sarrazin . 100FANS

The crowdfunding platform 100 Fans was launched in 2013. Authors can present their book project on the 100FANS homepage. The aim is to find at least 100 fans who will support the book project with the sum that a copy of the printed book or e-book costs. If there are at least 100 such fans, the writer will get an author's contract with the Munich publishing group and the book will appear.

The subsidiary kurs plus GmbH was founded in 2008 as a spin-off from the Munich publishing group. The focus is on Germany-wide events on the topics of business and finance. The offer ranges from online seminars to day seminars and roadshows to congresses, forums and trade fairs, from training for beginners to intensive coaching for advanced users. kurs plus organizes the Munich Stock Exchange Day together with Finanz Verlag and the World of Trading trade fair together with Traders Media GmbH.
