Christoph Dornier

Christoph Dornier (born December 4, 1938 in Friedrichshafen , † August 14, 2008 in Lucerne ) was a German painter and patron. In 1989 he founded the Christoph Dornier Foundation for Clinical Psychology .

Life

Christoph Dornier, the youngest son of Claude Dornier , studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1958 and then worked as a painter. As a co-heir and through the sale of his shares in Dornier GmbH in 1985, he used these funds to support several art and science projects.In 1989, he initiated the Christoph Dornier Foundation for Clinical Psychology (CDS), which worked with the scientists Wolfgang Fiegenbaum and Irmela Florin at the Philipps University of Marburg . In 2008 the CDS had institutes at the universities of Bielefeld, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Marburg, Tübingen as well as in Berlin, Münster and Nijmegen.

Dornier lived after his studies in Zurich, later in Lucerne and with the purchase of a winery in 1995 also in Blaauwklippental in Stellenbosch , South Africa.
