Christoph Iacono

Christoph Iacono (* 1972 in Wuppertal ) is a German pianist , composer , theater and stage musician.

biography

Christoph Iacono studied piano with Bernd F. Marseille in Düsseldorf and Martin Dörrie at the Hanover University of Music and Theater . After completing his studies, he mainly interpreted contemporary and avant-garde compositions and played in numerous world premieres and radio productions.

He works as a freelance theater and stage musician for various stages such as the Schauspiel Köln , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Oldenburgische Staatstheater , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Schauspiel Frankfurt . In addition, he composed pieces for dance theater in collaboration with the choreographers Mark Sieczkarek , Chrystel Guillebeaud and Chun-Hsien Wu and played in the play Palermo, Palermo by Pina Bausch . For the Theater Kiel he composed the incidental music for the piece Romeo and Juliet in the version by Feridun Zaimoglu and Günter Senkel .

He released the CDs El Angel and El Porteño with the Ensemble Libertango . In 2010 he was awarded the von der Heydt Culture Prize of the City of Wuppertal.
