Christoph Markus Schiller
Christoph Markus Schiller (* 1963 in Stuttgart ) is a German improvisation musician , pianist and composer . He primarily plays new improvisation music .
life and work
Schiller studied fine arts at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and piano with Daniel Cholette in Basel and music theory at the Basel Free Music School . Since 1987 he has been playing new improvisation music, first on the piano and for several years mainly on the spinet , as well as with voice. He played at international improvisation music festivals and released CD recordings with improvised music, among others with Cyril Bondi , Michel Doneda , Carl Ludwig Hübsch , Harald Kimmig , Pierre-Yves Martel , Birgit Ulher and as a soloist. In addition to his work as a concert musician, he is also active as a composer.

- With the improvisation quartet babels besen - Margarete Huber (vocals), Hans-Jürg Meier (recorders), Markus Wetstein (objects), Christoph Schiller (piano) - he won the Prix Marguerite de Reding of the Swiss Tonkünstlerverband in 2001 .
