Christoph Roquette

Christoph Roquette (born September 30, 1982 in Lübeck ) is a former German basketball player . The 2.02 meter tall center player was active in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA for USC Freiburg and Science City Jena , among others .

career

Roquette was born in Lübeck and grew up first in Buxtehude and then in Laufenburg . At the age of 14 he started playing basketball, played for TV Bad Säckingen, and in 2002 he moved to the USC Freiburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . There he played - interrupted by a stint at the English club Leeds Carnegie (2008/09 season) - until 2010.

For the 2010/11 season Roquette made a change within the 2. Bundesliga ProA and went from Freiburg to Science City Jena , where he was under contract until 2013.

At the end of his career he played from 2013 to 2015 at SC Rist Wedel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In his last season he led the Wedeler as team captain to the championship finals, where they lost to Oldenburg .

From June 2015 Roquette worked as a sports director at Rist Wedel alongside his job as an engineer.
