Christoph Waldecker

Christoph Waldecker (* 1967 ) is a German historian.

After graduating from the Kurfürst-Salentin-Gymnasium in Andernach in 1987, he studied history, regional studies and German. In 2001 he was awarded a doctorate by Ingrid Heidrich in Bonn. phil. PhD. He then worked for the Mönchengladbach City Archives and, since 2005, for the Joseph Lange Rifle Archives in the Rhenish Rifle Museum in Neuss .

In 2003 he published the first biography of the center politician and Lord Mayor Peter Nonnenmühlen . Since September 1, 2007, he has been the head of the Limburg an der Lahn City Archives , where he was involved in planning the 2010 city anniversary.

Waldecker has worked for the Biographical-Bibliographical Church Lexicon since 2004 and for the Germania-Sacra Project since 2010 , where he is responsible for the Mainz bishopric from 1089 to 1200. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Historical Commission for Nassau . In 2018 he became chairman of the Association of Hessian Municipal Archivists. V. elected.
