Christoph Weber (lawyer)

Christoph Weber (* 1958 in Paris ) is a lawyer and holds the chair for civil law and labor law at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg .

Christoph Weber studied law and Romance studies at the Universities of Mainz and Dijon. After the second state examination in law (1986) he worked at the chair for civil law, commercial law , labor law and civil procedural law at the University of Mainz under Horst Konzen , where he completed his habilitation in 1999 .

This was followed by substitute professorships at the University of Cologne and the Ruhr University Bochum . In the summer semester of 2000 Weber took over the representation of the chair for civil law and labor law at the Julius Maximilians University, to which he was appointed for the winter semester of 2000/01.

He works in the areas of company law , civil law and, in particular, labor law. His predominant scientific interests lie in collective labor law . He is co-author of a leading commentary on works constitution law and co-editor of a newly designed commentary on the Federal Personnel Representation Act .
