Christoph Zenses

Christoph Zenses (born December 28, 1959 ) is a German doctor .

Life

Christoph Zenses in 1986 after studying at the University of Dusseldorf Dr. med. doctorate and then worked as an assistant doctor at the Solingen Clinic . Since 1993 he has been an internist and after further training in angiology at the Kamillianer Hospital Mönchengladbach, resident internist and angiologist.

social commitment

Even as an assistant doctor, Zenses was in Romania with an aid convoy ; later he worked in the Chernobyl region with the Pro-Ost association from 2002 . There he initiated the establishment of a thyroid examination unit , which is still working daily and can present and treat thyroid cancer that develops early .

In 2007 he founded the medical aid Solingen with the projects MediMobil Solingen, 2010 the drug table Solingen and 2014 the practice without borders Solingen .

Zenses is the 2nd chairman of the Solingen board. Under his leadership under the umbrella of the Tafel, he and his resident colleagues from the solimed network of doctors also take care of people who do not have health insurance in the aforementioned projects. Zenses was also committed to the Friedensdorf Oberhausen , where he treated injured children from war and crisis areas. The doctor’s most recent volunteer projects were missions in 2017 on the refugee ship Sea Watch 2 and in 2018 in Camp Moria on the Greek island of Lesbos .

In 2018, Zenses and companions founded the association Solingen hilft , whose work should benefit the people in Solingen as well as needy refugees at the European external borders.

The mission at Camp Moria Hospital continued in March 2019 and October 2019 on Lesbos. Medical supplies such as ultrasound equipment, EKGs and many medicines are transported through the aforementioned association.

New conditions in Greece: In 2020 there will be several missions with the purchase of many drugs on site with donations, as the Greek state is completely withdrawing from medical care.
