Christoph von Bredow

Christoph Kuno Anatol von Bredow (born March 11, 1930 in Stechow , Westhavelland district, † August 28, 2016 in Hanover ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from secondary school, von Bredow began his vocational training in 1947 with a degree as an agricultural master and state-certified farmer ( agricultural engineer ). An activity in agriculture followed. From 1964 to 1993 he worked as an industrial clerk and manager in the sales department of several companies in the chemical industry. Von Bredow worked for many years in the management of a trade association in the German Chemical Industry Association.

From 1979 he was a member of the CDU and at times chairman of the CDU local branch in Kirchrode. From 1981 he was a member of the Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode district council , from 1981 to 1986 deputy district mayor and from 1986 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. Von Bredow was in the 12th and 13th electoral terms, from 1990 to 1998, a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .
