Christoph Steiger (II.) , Also Christoph von Steiger (II.) (* February 22, 1694 in Bern ; † February 12, 1765 ibid), was a Swiss magistrate .

Steiger was the son of the magistrate Christoph von Steiger . He served as an officer in the Netherlands. In 1720 he married Veronika Steiger, daughter of Niklaus. In 1726 he became the rifle captain of the Reismusketen-Schützengesellschaft and from 1727 he was a councilor. In 1733 he became town hall manager, in 1737 he was a secretary of burgers and in 1738 he joined the small council. From 1738 he was an assessor of the school council, from 1740 to 1747 he was Welschseckelmeister and then mayor of Bern . He resigned in 1759 for health reasons.

Samuel Henzi's homage poem for the mayor election in 1747 emphasizes Steiger's excellent upbringing and his pleasant character.
