Christophe Bigot

Christophe Bigot (born December 23, 1965 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) is a French diplomat .

Life

Bigot attended the elite universities École polytechnique and ENA . He graduated in 1992. He currently holds the rank of Conseiller des Affaires étrangères hors classe .

In 1992 he started at the French Foreign Ministry in the Africa and Middle East Department . In 1994 he became First Secretary in Beirut , Lebanon . In 1997 he joined the Permanent Mission at the United Nations in New York . In 2001 he served at headquarters as Deputy Head for East Africa and the Indian Ocean States. In 2004 he first served at the Tel Aviv embassy. In 2007 he became an advisor in the cabinet of the Foreign Minister and has been Ambassador to Israel since August 30, 2009 .

He speaks English, Arabic and German, is married and has two children.
