Christophe de Sousa (born January 16, 1992 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg football player .

Career

In 2008 de Sousa moved from Etoile Sportive Schouweiler to Alemannia Aachen . Here he played up to the U19s before being pulled up in the summer of 2011. He first played in the NRW League , later in the Middle Rhine League for the 2nd team from Alemannia Aachen. He came to a total of 73 league appearances.

On May 24, 2014, the 38th matchday, he came on a mission for the 1st team. In the Regionalliga West game against FC Schalke 04 II , he came into play in the 46th minute for Marco Neppe . The game ended 0-2 for Schalke.

After leaving Aachen in the summer of 2015, de Sousa was without a club until July 1, 2016. He then moved to his home country for the US Bad Mondorf. He made his debut in the top division of the BGL Ligue in Luxembourg on August 28, 2016. In this 0-1 defeat against F91 Dudelange , he faced his brother on the field.

National team

Between 2007 and 2013 he played 19 games for the Luxembourg national team. In addition to friendly matches, he played in qualifying for the U-19 European Football Championship in 2009 , qualifying for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2013 and qualifying for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2015 .

Others

His younger brother Raphael de Sousa (* 1993) is also a soccer player. He is currently under contract with FC Etzella Ettelbrück .
