Christopher Schier

Christopher Schier (born February 7, 1971 ) is an Austrian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Christopher Schier studied psychology and journalism from 1990 to 1994 after graduating from high school . He then began to write screenplays, short stories and children's books, and he also worked as a production assistant and unit manager for television productions.

He has been a freelance director for commercials and commercials since 2000 , including directing Dad's Dead in 2006 , for which David Schalko wrote the screenplay. From 2008 to 2013, he directed for the ORF telecast Wir sind Kaiser comedy-setter in the ORF television series CopStories he led in 13 episodes directed.

In 2016 he shot the Tatort episode Wehrlos for ORF , and in 2017 he staged his second crime scene with Die Faust . Together with Andreas Herzog , he staged the television series Trakehnerblut in 2017 . From May 2018 he directed the crime series Dead End for ZDFneo , for which he also developed the scripts together with Magdalena Grazewicz and Thomas Gerhold. In September 2019 he shot Lass den Mond am Himmel, based on a script by Stefan Hafner and Thomas Weingartner, with investigators Batic and Leitmayr, his first crime scene in Munich.
