Christopher Showerman

Christopher Showerman (born June 24, 1971 in Jackson , Michigan ) is an American film actor .

Life

Showerman grew up in Michigan and began an acting career after high school. He attended Michigan State University , where he studied music, and soon after moved to Hollywood. After small roles in several studios in feature films, including Starship Troopers (1997) and Best in Show (2002), Showerman took on a leading role in the independent film Dumped in 2000 .

Showerman's big break came in 2003 when he was cast as George the One from the Jungle in the Disney film George, who came from the Jungle 2 , replacing his predecessor in that role, Brendan Fraser .

In 2006 Showerman formed an independent film production company called Shorris Film with Australian producer Clint Morris .

The first film of Shorris' film was the supernatural western Between the Sand and the Sky , in which Showerman starred alongside Dee Wallace and Muse Watson .

The company also produced Radio America , which Showerman starred, directed, and scripted.

In 2012 Shorris co-produced Bristled: The Howl Chronicles with Eric Stoltz in the lead role.
