Christopher Schou Watts (born September 2, 1983 ) is a Norwegian snooker player who is a total of five times Norwegian champion .

Career

Born in 1983 Watts first took part in the Norwegian Snooker Championship in 2009 , where, after an initial defeat against Andre Hellerud , he first fought his way through four so-called Losers Rounds and then through quarter and semi-finals, so that he reached the final, in which he did lost again to Hellerud. After failing to make his opening game in the round of 16 in 2010, he reached the final in 2011 and won it 4-2 against Stig Dahl . After winning the Norwegian 6-Red Championship 5-0 against Bjørn Gulbrandsen in 2012 , he defended his title in Six Red Snooker with a 5-2 win over Tore Skagestein in 2013 and then with a 4-1 - Victory over the same opponent, the second title win in normal snooker. In the same year he took part in the qualification for the Paul Hunter Classic , where he failed after a victory over Roman Dietzel to Joe Steele . Furthermore, he won his third title in Six-Red-Snooker with a 5-0 win against Kjell Pedersen in 2014 .

In 2015 Watts took part in the Nordic Snooker Championship for the first time, in which after surviving the group phase in the round of 16, the eventual winner Rune Kampe from Denmark was just defeated 3: 4 . Shortly afterwards he won against Eirik Riisnæs with a 5-2 win again the Six Red Championship, before he lost in the final of the normal Norwegian championship 3-4 Andre Hellerud at the end of May. A year later he survived the group stage and the round of 16 again at the Nordic championship and was the only Norwegian to reach the quarter-finals, in which, however, Simon Lindblom from Sweden was defeated 3: 4 . He also won the Norwegian championship in Six Red Snooker for the fifth time with a 5-0 win over Audun Risan Heimsjø . Also in 2017 he reached the quarter-finals of the Nordic championship, where he had previously defeated the previous year's winner Benjamin McCabe , but he lost again in the same round - this time 4-0 to the eventual winner Kristján Helgason . He then lost in the final of the Norwegian Six Red Championship 3: 5 against Umar Hayat Ali . Shortly thereafter, however, he reached the final of the Norwegian championship, which he won for the third time 4-2 against Audun Risan Heimsjø. In the same year he represented Norway at the World Cup 2017 together with the Main Tour professional Kurt Maflin , where they finished last in their group.

The next year Watts managed to defend his title in Norway with a 4-0 win over Daniel G. Skaathun . In the same year he took part again after five years in the qualification for the Pro / Am event Paul Hunter Classic , where he qualified for the main round with a victory over Nutcharat Wongharuthai , but failed there at Thepchaiya Un-Nooh . The next year he also qualified for the main round of the Gibraltar Open , where he had to admit defeat by 0: 4 Fergal O'Brien . A few weeks later he managed to win the Norwegian championship with a 4-2 victory over Andre Hellerud for the third time in a row, with the tournament in Watts and Hellerud's home club, the Oslo Snooker Club . Then Watts represented Norway again together with Kurt Maflin at the World Cup 2019 , where they finished fourth out of six places in their group.
