Christos Melissis
Christos Melissis ( Greek Χρήστος Μελίσσης , born December 1, 1982 in Edessa , Greece ) is a Greek football player .
Christos Melissis began his professional career in the summer of 2000 at the then third division Naousa in northern Greece. In 2001 Melissis moved to the traditional club Panserraikos in the second division, where he was under contract for the next four and a half years. At Panserraikos, the defensive all-rounder established himself in the regular formation and came to a total of 101 league games. In January 2006 Melissis moved to the first division club PAOK Thessaloniki , where he was used for the first time in the top Greek league at the beginning of the 2006/2007 season. Melissis played at PAOK until the summer of 2008 before moving to Panathinaikos Athens together with his teammate Lazaros Christodoulopoulos .
Melissis made his debut in the Greek national football team on February 5, 2008 in a friendly against the Czech Republic .
