Christoval is a city in Tom Green County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The place is located halfway between San Antonio and Lubbock in the southwest of the county on the South Concho River , west of the geographic center of Texas and has a total area of 3.1 km 2 with no significant water surface.
history
The place was named after Christopher Columbus Doty , an early settler in the area. The first post office was set up in 1889 and the first public school opened in 1901.

According to the 2000 census, 422 people lived here in 167 households and 124 families. The population density was 134.7 people per km 2 .
