The Christ Church is a listed Protestant church building on Kirchstrasse in Isenstedt , a town in the town of Espelkamp in the Minden-Lübbecke district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The neo-Gothic hall church made of brick with a retracted, polygonal closed choir was built by Wilhelm Moelle from 1878 to 1880. The exterior is lavishly structured by additions - a protruding south portal , a stepped gable in the west, with a round arch frieze and ornaments. The tower is in the west. The uniform interior is spanned by a saddle-shaped bent wooden ceiling, which rests on high, slender wooden supports with arched arcades . The church is equipped with surrounding galleries . The original color version was restored in 1974 based on findings. The equipment from the construction period and the colored windows have been completely preserved.

To the west of the church is the associated rectory . It was also built by Wilhelm Moelle from 1880 to 1882.
