Chuck Pastor
Charles Patrick Pastor III (born April 13, 1957 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American writer , screenwriter and former Navy Seal .
biography
Charles Patrick Pastor III was born to Navy officer Charles Patrick Pastor, Jr. and nurse Joan Marie Pastor. He attended the Staunton Military Academy and studied psychology at California State University, Northridge and the University of Bath . From 1981 to 1989 he served with the United States Navy SEALs . He was a military advisor in Central America, the Lebanese Civil War and trained NATO troops. He witnessed the attack on the US base in Beirut in 1983 and led the operation to capture Abu Abbas while he was hijacking the cruise ship Achille Lauro . At the end of his service he was an Assault Element Commander and was part of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group .
Just one year after his end of service, his script, which he co-authored, was published with the action film Navy Seals - The world's toughest elite troop . Pfarrer was able to establish himself as a screenwriter with other action films such as Harte Targets , The Jackal and Red Planet . For his screenplay work on the action comedy Barb Wire - Escape to Freedom , he and Ilene Chaiken received a 1997 Golden Raspberry nomination for Worst Screenplay . His four-part graphic novel Virus was used in 1999 for the science fiction film Virus - Ship of No Return as a template, and he also worked on the script.
Parallel to his script work, Pfarrer also published two novels and two non-fiction books. So far, two non-fiction books have been published in German:
